Beauty Blender

Hey guys!

I apologize for my absence, it’s been a super, busy, crazy month.

So I was in NYC recently and stopped into a Sephora, because you can’t advoid those in NYC, and got myself a Beauty Blender, the original one. I have been wanting to try this little pink sponge forever, but I couldn’t justify the price. So after reading several reviews and finding out that Sephora’s price ($19.95) was actually lower than what I’ve been seeing online at other places, I decided to get one.

Now, what you do is when you first go to use it; run it under water, give it a few squeezes to make sure it sucks in the water. then towel dry and its ready to use. The sponge will be damp, which is the point, helping make up application. Just dip the sponge into foundation and dab into skin, don’t smear. You can also use the sponge for liquid concealer and cream blush. The results are pretty wicked. The blender makes the make up applied seem airbrushed.

Hopefully this helps you make your decision!

Take care 😉

Tip

Hey guys!

Hope everyones’ been doing great!

So when you are going out and you want your make-up look to have that extra intensity in the eye area, use the tightlining technique. Tightlining is adding eyeliner to your top inner water line. It’s something that is so simple and yet it can change your make-up look entirely.

Just pull the eye lid up gently and using a kohl pencil, line the water line.

*Kohl pencils are more gentle on the eyes.

Rimmel Stay Matte Primer

Hi guys!!

Hope everyone’s having a lovely week so far.

So I got the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer last month and I absolutely adore it! Keeps my shine and oil at bay for a long period of time. I put it on around 7 am and my face still looks matte by 12pm which is a win. Primer smoothes out my skin and foundation definitely goes on without a problem. The price is great, under $7. Same quality as the high end primers. Nothing to complain about here 😉

Take care!

Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum

Alright guys, gotta hand it to Clinique once again for producing another fantastic product. This serum has improved my skin significantly. I was out with my sister the other day and she noticed and commented on how good my skin looked– that made me smile!! I’ve been using this serum for 6 weeks and the results are pretty great. Now, it doesn’t make my pores disappear, that’ll never happen, but it does improve the state they are in. My pores are cleaner, smoother, and tighter. I didn’t get a break out, so another plus! Also, the level of oil on my face has reduce. The serum works great as a primer. All in all, this is definitely a re-purchase item. I’m very happy with it!

EOS lip balm

Hi guys, welcome back!

I used to have really dry lips and was for ever on the hunt for that lip balm or chap stick that will heal, soften, and smooth out my lips. I have tried a bunch of them and was never happy with the results. Well, let’s just say that I have found the ONE!! EOS lip balm is truly magical :). I had seen it in stores and was a little reluctant because I had tried the EOS shaving cream and wasn’t a fan at all. So I was a little turn down from the brand. But you can’t do that, not all products from the same brand are bad. The balm is not so shiny and it lasts a long time so it doesn’t absorb too quickly. This little ball of pure goodness not only did it heal my chapped lips but it smoothed them out so much! Omg and the flavor! The one I got is in “Strawberry Shortcake” and it smells so good! I just want to eat it lol. So this little guy is definitely a winner, thumbs up!

Tip

Hi guys!

If you run out of brush cleaner, and you really need to clean out those make-up brushes, don’t freak out. A simple solution; shampoo. Shampoo and warm water will get those brushes clean!

Benefit’s Sizzlin’ Six

I’ve been wanting to try some of these products from Benefit for while and when I saw this set at Ulta I knew I had to get it.

This set includes minis of some of the brand’s most popular items:

Dandelion (shimmery face powder)

Dandelion lip gloss

Benetint (cheek stain)

Bad gal Lash

girl meets pearl (highlighter)

the POREfessional (primer)

I’ve had the chance to try some of these babies out and can’t complain, really like the quality. The main one for me was the POREfessional primer. I love the texture it leaves on the face, super smooth and it helps so much with the pores, fills them in nicely. The primer helps out with the oil a bit and the foundation stays intact. I’ll be purchasing the reg. size tube when the mini runs out.

Girl meets pearl is very good too. It gives a great shine without it being too much. The highlighter is a tad on the pink side, but no biggie. It blends well into the skin.

Ellen Tracy Thick Sticks

So if the Clinique Chubby Sticks are too pricey for ya, then the Ellen Tracy Thick Sticks are the way to go. Not only is the price great ($6.99 for the set) but the quality and staying power is unbeatable. The product just glides on the lips and you can build the color up. I’m actually wearing the hot pink one right now and I’ve had it on since 7am, no touch up. The sticks do not have names, so call them what you want! Also, no funny smell and no sharpening required.

I bought them at Ross, so it’s not the kind of thing that they are going to have in stock all the time, kinda have to get lucky, but there’s online shopping! 😉

Sleek Lipsticks

Good afternoon lovelies!

I love me some Sleek lipsticks! The True Color lipsticks are, well, true to their color. Also, they are moisturizing and have vitamin E which is awesome because when wearing a lipstick, you often worry about your lips drying out. Now, these aren’t stain resistant, they will transfer. The packaging is great, shorter then the reg lipstick size but still a full size lipstick, if that makes any sense. Can’t wait to get more colors! So far I have a pink and a neutral brown, love em’ both.
