I needed a new top coat and wanted to try something other than Sally Hansen and stumbled across this. Essie’s Gel Setter is pretty good. I did my nails and for 4.5 days (record for me) I had no chip or crack. My nails were in perfect condition. Still in the first week and I’ve only got one chipped nail. The shine and thickness are both great, shine is gel shine for sure and thickness isn’t goopy, it glides on nicely and dries without the air bubbles. The setter’s price tag is @ $10 but I think it’s worth it.
