Tip

Hi guys!

If you run out of brush cleaner, and you really need to clean out those make-up brushes, don’t freak out. A simple solution; shampoo. Shampoo and warm water will get those brushes clean!

Benefit’s Sizzlin’ Six

I’ve been wanting to try some of these products from Benefit for while and when I saw this set at Ulta I knew I had to get it.

This set includes minis of some of the brand’s most popular items:

Dandelion (shimmery face powder)

Dandelion lip gloss

Benetint (cheek stain)

Bad gal Lash

girl meets pearl (highlighter)

the POREfessional (primer)

I’ve had the chance to try some of these babies out and can’t complain, really like the quality. The main one for me was the POREfessional primer. I love the texture it leaves on the face, super smooth and it helps so much with the pores, fills them in nicely. The primer helps out with the oil a bit and the foundation stays intact. I’ll be purchasing the reg. size tube when the mini runs out.

Girl meets pearl is very good too. It gives a great shine without it being too much. The highlighter is a tad on the pink side, but no biggie. It blends well into the skin.

Ellen Tracy Thick Sticks

So if the Clinique Chubby Sticks are too pricey for ya, then the Ellen Tracy Thick Sticks are the way to go. Not only is the price great ($6.99 for the set) but the quality and staying power is unbeatable. The product just glides on the lips and you can build the color up. I’m actually wearing the hot pink one right now and I’ve had it on since 7am, no touch up. The sticks do not have names, so call them what you want! Also, no funny smell and no sharpening required.

I bought them at Ross, so it’s not the kind of thing that they are going to have in stock all the time, kinda have to get lucky, but there’s online shopping! 😉

Sleek Lipsticks

Good afternoon lovelies!

I love me some Sleek lipsticks! The True Color lipsticks are, well, true to their color. Also, they are moisturizing and have vitamin E which is awesome because when wearing a lipstick, you often worry about your lips drying out. Now, these aren’t stain resistant, they will transfer. The packaging is great, shorter then the reg lipstick size but still a full size lipstick, if that makes any sense. Can’t wait to get more colors! So far I have a pink and a neutral brown, love em’ both.

Sleek Eyeshadow Palettes

You can never have to many eyeshadow palettes! 😉

Sleek make-up is another brand that I’m in love with. Sleek products have a high end quality, great color pay off and great prices. I purchased 3 palettes last year and they are really good. The shadows are easy to blend and work with. The colors look the same when applied as they do in the palette which is the thing that you always worry with when you see a color and hope it looks like that when you put it on. Also, these palettes give you a great range of colors and types of shadows (matte, shimmery) to choose from.

Tip: Buy products straight from their site, it’s cheaper than amazon. www.sleekmakeup.com

Philosophy Total MATTEness

This post unfortuantely isn’t a good one. I’ve always had an issue with pores and oily skin. So, I went to Sephora on a mission to try and find something that could help. I was told that Philosophy’s new product total matteness could possibly help me out. Well, it didn’t do much at all. My pores didn’t reduce in size and it made me break out really bad. And I’ve never had a break out like this. The only thing it did was control the shine on my face for a few hours. Maybe it’ll work for someone else, everyone’s skin is different and react to products differently.

Real Techniques Brushes

Hi Guys, happy Sunday!

So today I’m really happy to be blogging about Real Techniques brushes. This line of brushes are from sisters Sam and Nic Chapman from Pixiwoo. Sam and Nic are Pro Make-up artists and Youtube vloggers. I admire them so much and love their work and videos. Furthermore, I absolutely love their brushes; high quality brushes with amazingly affordable prices. Real Techniques has a range of brushes for the face, eyes, and lips. The thing about the brushes is that you can use them for multiple functions not just one. For exmaple, the deluxe crease brush is an eye shadow brush but, I mainly use it for concealer/corrector. The bristles on the brushes are super soft and comfortable on the skin. Also blending make up becomes so easy, whether it’s foundation, contouring, or eye shadows (creams or powders). I have recommened Real Techniques to my sister and friends and they absolutely love it!
